History

Founded in 1999, BZ Media LLC is a privately held, high-tech media company based in Long Island’s beautiful north shore.

BZ Media's flagship is Software Development Times, which was the first and only newspaper for the software development industry. SD Times launched in February 2000, and as of the end of 2010 has published more than 260 issues. In January 2011, SD Times transitioned to a monthly magazine format to better serve its readers with more in-depth news and trend analysis.

More companies advertise in SD Times than in any other software development publication.

The first BZ Media offices were located above Nobman’s Hardware in Oyster Bay, N.Y., but the company quickly expanded across the street to larger quarters above the Oyster Bay Coin Gallery. In 2004, the company needed to expand again and moved a few miles east to its present location at 7 High Street in the Village of Huntington, N.Y.
